Description
I made this card for my cousin who is going through a hard time emotionally. We are both big Harry Potter fans, so I wrote my messages on owl post parchment delivered by Hedwig with the writing modeled after the Hogwarts acceptance letters.
Tools and Materials:
Strathmore Artist Tiles 400 Series
6 in. x 6 in. (15.3 x 15.3 cm) 140 lb. (300 g/m2)
Derwent Graphic H Pencil
Copic Multi Liner Pen 0.03 Black
Pigma Micron 01 Pen Brown
Gansai Tambi Watercolors by Kuretake
Traditional Quill
Wax Seal: Red Wax, "A" Seal, Gold Stamping Ink
Of course the background music for this video is "Hedwig's Theme" by John Williams. I am pretty sure I succeeded in cropping out the parts where you'd be able to see my cousin's name (didn't occur to me during filming to cover it up... would have been much easier!). Video includes some inking, mostly watercolor painting, some calligraphy lettering with a traditional quill, and melting on the wax seals!
