This is for *Miss-Alise's fabulous contest!

Goal: Design a party outfit for *Miss-Alise's OC, Charlotte.
I took a look around the contest entries folder, and artists have designed (and drawn beautifully) some wonderful dresses. The vast majority are dresses, even though it was stated that it need not be a party dress. I wanted to come up with something a little different, so I decided that the party would be less of a cocktail party and more of a banquet in a fantasy realm. I was definitely inspired by Final Fantasy... those chicks have the best outfits. Maybe I got a little carried away, but I love the outfit, and it was so much fun to draw... I think this contest was an awesome idea and it inspired me to push the limits of my semi-realism -- seriously guys, check out my gallery, I'm pretty sure this picture is the best I've done in ages! Anyway, I hope she likes it!
Note: It's impossible to see from this angle, but the ribbon wrapping around the center of the lace shirt goes around the back and ties in a big bow, which is why you see ribbon peaking out to the right... does that make sense? Hope so.

i like how much thought you put into this design! i never really thought about my characters' clothing, which is why i admire when other peoples' have such great designs i like how you designed something different from what everyone else was doing; that's always good to see, too! the only suggestion i have, is that her right hand is at a somewhat awkward position. i suggest you just change the way she's holding the bag, so her hands wrapping around from above rather than below (if that makes sense!). just a thought
